These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by Help for America ("HFA," "we," "us," or "our"), including our website (helpforamerica.org), SMS communications, and any other products or services we offer (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our Services.
By using our Services or subscribing to receive SMS messages, you affirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You provide explicit consent to our collection, use, and sharing of your personal information as described in those documents. You also agree to receive text messages from us, including transactional and promotional communications. Consent to receive promotional messages is not a condition of using our Services and may be withdrawn at any time as outlined in Section 4 below.

By subscribing to HFA's text messaging service, you agree to receive messages related to our programs, fundraising campaigns, volunteer opportunities, and other organizational updates. Messages may be promotional, transactional, or informational in nature. You can expect to receive up to five messages per week. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier.
You may opt out of receiving promotional or informational text messages at any time by replying to any of our messages with the word "STOP" or "UNSUBSCRIBE." Upon receipt of your opt‑out request, we will promptly remove your number from our promotional messaging list. Opting out of promotional messages will not affect your ability to receive critical service-related messages, such as donation confirmations or urgent organizational updates.

We strive to ensure that our text messages are delivered in a timely and accurate manner, but delivery depends on your mobile carrier's network. HFA is not responsible for delays, failures in delivery, or technical errors related to text message transmission.
Your use of our Services is at your own risk. The Services are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without any warranties, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, HFA disclaims all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. HFA will not be liable for any damages, losses, or injuries arising from or related to your use of our Services, including any inability to send or receive messages, delays, or technical issues.
